IOWA CITY --- University of Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta will hold a press conference today at 2:30 p.m. to discuss the future of the Iowa basketball program. The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that they've received confirmation that Todd Lickliter has been dismissed as the coach of The University of Iowa men's basketball team. The Gazette also reports that Lickliter walked into the men's basketball suite for a meeting, and within five minutes walked out of the suite and went in an opposite direction from reporters, not responding to his name when it was called out seeking comment. The Hawkeyes, who had just two upperclassmen play significant minutes, finished 10-22 - their first 20-loss season and a losing record for the third straight season under Lickliter. Lickliter has four years left on his contract, which pays him $1.2 million a year.
